Excel2GDL
is an MS Excel macro that demonstrates how easily Excel spreadsheets can
be converted into graphs — or, technically speaking, how easily
GDL specifications can be produced
from Visual Basic.

The archive contains a demo of Excel2GDL along with
a sample spreadsheet. Most probably, your own Excel spreadsheets look different.
If you are familiar with Visual Basic, you can easily adapt the macro to your
needs — and if not, you can let us do the job.
The macro was tested with Excel 2000 under Windows 2000 and XP,
and Excel 2007 under Windows Vista.

How to run the demo
1. |
Unzip the downloaded archive into a folder of your choice. |
2. |
Open that folder and double-click on the Excel2GDL.xls file. |
3. |
Microsoft Excel will now start up.
A dialog box or a message bar might appear asking you whether you want
to enable macros. Please confirm by clicking on the “Enable Macros”
button. |
4. |
If you’re
using Excel 2000, a new button will appear in its toolbar labeled
“Convert to GDL”. If you’re using Excel 2007, the button
will be added to the “Add-Ins” tab.
|
5. |
You can now open the sample
spreadsheet sample.xls and simply click the ”Convert to GDL“ button.
A GDL file named sample.gdl will then be created in the same directory
where the sample.xls file resides. |
 |
6. |
Open the GDL file with aiSee. |
