NEdit iconTo install GDLedit for NEdit, perform the following steps:

1. Copy the downloaded PATS file to your home directory
2. Start NEdit with the command line option -import ~/gdl.pats
3. In the menu Preferences, click on Save Defaults....

Now, NEdit should automatically recognize GDL and VCG files. You can switch highlighting off and on in the editor via Preferences->Highlight Syntax.

The colors used for highlighting are customizable via
Preferences->Default Settings->Syntax Highlighting->Text Drawing Styles...
