The
Export dialog box enables the format, scaling, size and position of the
exported image of the graph or part thereof to be selected (see
Table 4 for the keyboard commands in this
dialog box).
The following export formats are offered:
- PBM
black and white portable bitmap file format
- PPM
colored portable pixmap file format
- BMP
bitmap format. The image can be either black and white or colored
- PNG
colored portable network graphics format.
- PostScript
image description language file format. The image can be either
black and white, grey scaled, or colored. The image can be split
into 1, 4, 9, 16, 25, 36, or 49 pages and is surrounded by a
bounding box if the Bounding Box radio button is enabled.
- SVG
scalable vector graphics file format. The image can be either
black and white, grey scaled, or colored.
After selecting the format, the orientation and
the paper size can be chosen, followed by adjusting the size and
position of the image.
For bitmap formats, the dpi factors of the printer
should be selected first because the size depends on these factors.
The x-dpi and y-dpi factors are independent of one other, so that
it is possible to distort the image with these factors.
The Scaling, Width, Height
scrollbars can be used to change the size of the image. These three
scrollbars are interconnected, meaning that changing one of them
influences the others so as to preserve the aspect ratio. The size
of the image can also be set using the following two shortcut buttons:
- Scaling: 100% causes the
image to be exported in normal size (100% absolute).
- Maxspect causes the image
to be exported to the chosen paper format in maximum size.
Finally the position of the image on the paper
can be chosen by moving the small rectangle (with the diagonals)
within the panner or by using one of the following:
- Center centers on the page,
horizontally and vertically
- Center width centers horizontally
- Center height centers vertically
Clicking on the OK button opens the
File Selection dialog box.
