aiSee for Unix: User Manual<>index

File Selector dialog box

File Selector Dialog BoxA file selector dialog box appears for all file operations. The box shows the files in the current directory by file name and one additional information item, which can be any of the following:

  • Size
  • Access mode
  • Creation date
  • Owner
  • Group

The file entries can be sorted either by name or the current file information field.

To switch to a directory or select a file name, double-click on the corresponding entry using any mouse button. Alternatively a path can be entered at the bottom of the box, which takes effect after pressing the Rescan button. The file name takes effect if the dialog box is closed via the OK button.

Note: Older versions of aiSee do not allow overwriting existing files. In these versions, the File Selector dialog box is immediately reopened if writing was to be done in an existing file.
