aiSee window

The aiSee window consists of a graph window (1),
a text area (5) below the graph window where messages are printed, five
scrollbars (3,6,7,8,9), and a small button (4) below the right scrollbar:
- Graph window
- Main menu
appears after middle or right mouse button is pressed and held in the graph window.
The selected menu item is inverted. Submenus are accessed by positioning the mouse
over the "=>" arrow. A menu item followed by three dots opens a dialog
box.
- Scaling bar
- Maximum aspect button
scales the graph so that the entire graph fits the graph window
- Message window
used to display short help messages such as explanations of selected menu items or
guidelines for complex selection or navigation procedures
- Vertical scrollbar of graph window
- Vertical scrollbar of virtual window
- Horizontal scrollbar of virtual window
- Horizontal scrollbar of graph window
Graph window and virtual window
aiSee allocates a drawing area called virtual window.
Its size is determined by the screen resolution or the
xmax and
ymax
values in the graph specification. The graph window shows part of the virtual
window. If the graph window is smaller than the virtual window the scrollbars
6 and 9 can be used to move the graph window over the virtual window. This is
very useful for precision-positioning the graph window.
