aiSee: Command Line Options<>index

-fast

The fastest layout mode is switched on. This is very useful for huge graphs, however there is a trade-off between time and layout quality. This option implies -bending 2 -cmax 2 -pmax 2.

-fasticons

Loads the icon files fast. This may reduce drawing quality if not all icon colors are available. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is fast_icons.

-fstraight

Forces straight edges that are not anchored at the same position on the border of the nodes. This is useful only if no port sharing is selected, because bends are avoided by correcting the port position. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is fstraight_phase.

-font XFont

Specifies the X11 font to be used in menus. This option is useful for Unix versions of aiSee only. The default font is -*-helvetica-medium-r-normal-14-*-*-*-*-*-*-*.

-gdloutput Name

A GDL file named Name is written which contains the graph rendered in keeping with the layout calculation. All visible nodes of the graph are annotated by the calculated coordinates. Most information about folded subgraphs or regions is lost in the GDL file created. Interactive displaying of the graph is turned off.
If Name is replaced by a -, the GDL output is piped directly to stdout instead of a file. This is useful for Unix versions of aiSee only.

-geometry Geom

Specifies the size and location of the window on the root screen. This option is useful for Unix versions of aiSee only.

-grey

The output file contains a greyscaled graph. This option is useful for PostScript output only, see -psoutput.

-grabinputfocus

The input focus is actively grabbed. This option is useful for Unix versions of aiSee only.

-height Float Unit

The graph is scaled so that its height is smaller than Float Units. No scaling may be specified otherwise this option does not work. For the available Units, see -width.

-help

Prints a help message about the usage of aiSee.

-htmloutput Name

As of aiSee 2.1.93, writes an HTML file named Name which contains a picture of the graph in PNG or BMP format mapped with the hyperlinks and/or JavaScript functionality specified in the GDL source of the graph (see FAQs). This option has no effect unless a file name was specified for the image (using -pngoutput or -bmpoutput). It should always be used in conjunction with -lm 0 px and -tm 0 px.

-ignoresingles

Hides all nodes of the graph which would appear singly and unconnected. These nodes have no edges at all and drawing them may sometimes result in an ugly layout of the remaining graph. The default setting is to show all nodes. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is ignore_singles.
