-panim

Animates the positioning heuristics (normal mode), see animation after relayout.

-pannersize Int

Sets the size of the panner window to Int*Int pixels.

-paper Type

Selects the paper Type, the default being A4. The various paper types are:

  • A4    (A4, 21*29.7 cm)
  • A5    (A5, 14.8*21 cm)
  • B5    (B5, 18.5*27 cm)
  • 8x11  (letter, 8.5*11 in)
  • 8x14  (legal, 8.5*14 in)
  • 11x17 (tabloid, 11*17 in)
  • letter
  • legal
  • tabloid

-pbmoutput Name

A bitmap file named Name containing a black and white picture of the graph is written in PBM format. It is advisable to use this option in combination with -silent.

-piter Int

Sets the number of iterations in the pendulum method resulting in balancing in one direction. The pendulum method can be imagined like this: The nodes on level n are fixed on the ceiling. The pendulum swings Int times, the default value being 2. Then the nodes on level n+1 are fixed on the ceiling, i.e. the pendulum is turned upside down. Now it swings again Int times. This process of turning is iterated, the number of iterations being controlled by the options -pmin and -pmax.

-pmax Int

Sets the maximum number of iterations of the pendulum method. The default value is 100. Reducing this factor increases layout calculation speed. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is pmax.

-pmin Int

Sets the minimum number of iterations of the pendulum method. The default value is 0. Like crossing reduction, this method stops when the "imbalance weight" stops decreasing. However, an increase in imbalance weight might be a local phenomenon, meaning that the imbalance might decrease even more after a few more iterations. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is pmin. See also -pmax.

-pngoutput Name

A portable network graphics file named Name is written which contains a color picture of the graph. The compression factor is 6:1. It is advisable to use this option in combination with -silent, -lm 0 px, and -tm 0 px.

-portrait

Selects portrait orientation for export of graphs to PostScript. This is the default setting. See also -landscape.

-ppmoutput Name

A bitmap file named Name containing a color picture of the graph is written in PPM format. It is advisable to use this option in combination with -silent. To export a black and white picture, use -nocolors.

-prio

Switches on the priority phase. This phase replaces the normal pendulum method with a specialized method: It forces long vertical edges to be straight, just like the straight phase does. In fact, the straight phase is a fine-tuning of the priority phase, the priority phase being recommended for an orthogonal layout. The corresponding GDL graph attribute is priority_phase. This option is implied by -manhattan. See also -noprio.

-psoutput Name

A PostScript file named Name is written which contains the graph. See also -color, -grey, -landscape, -noBoundingBox, -paper, -scale, and -split.
