aiSee: Command Line Options<>index

-width Float Unit

The graph is scaled so that its width is smaller than Float Units. No scaling may be specified otherwise this option does not work. The various Units are:

  • in  inch
  • ft  foot
  • mm  millimeter
  • cm  centimeter
  • dm  decimeter
  • m   meter
  • px  pixel

The px unit is supported as of aiSee 2.1.92. For older versions, we recommend using the in unit in conjunction with the option -xdpi. For example, instead of specifying -width 350 px, you can specify -width 3.5 in -xdpi 100.

See also -height.

-x11msg

The X11 Client Message Facility is used as an animation interface (see graph animation). This option is useful for Unix versions of aiSee only. Windows users please see -ddemsg.

-xdpi Int

Sets the horizontal resolution for bitmap output, the default value being 72. This option enables the bitmap formats to be adjusted to the printer resolution. See also -ydpi.

-xmax Int

Export of Image PartsWhen exporting GDL files to bitmap, PostScript, or SVG formats, a combination of the four options -xmin X1 -ymin Y1 -xmax X2 -ymax Y2 enables an image part to be exported instead of the entire image. The image part to be exported is specified by a bounding rectangle with the upper left corner at (X1,Y1) and the lower right corner at (X2,Y2), the graph origin always being at (0,0) (see example). These options are especially useful for Web-based applications in order to limit the size of output images or to implement a panning or zooming feature for large graphs (see output split).

-xmin Int

See -xmax.

-xpos Int

Sets the x coordinate of the initial point of the graph or of the initial focus that appears at the window origin. When exporting graphs to SVG format (see -svgoutput), this option specifies the horizontal offset of the SVG view box. See also -ypos.

-ydpi Int

Sets the vertical resolution for bitmap output, the default value being 72. This option enables the bitmap formats to be adjusted to the printer resolution. See also -xdpi.

-ymax Int

See -xmax.

-ymin Int

See -xmax.

-ypos Int

Sets the y coordinate of the initial point of the graph or of the initial focus that appears at the window origin. When exporting graphs to SVG format (see -svgoutput), this option specifies the vertical offset of the SVG view box. See also -xpos.
