aiSee for Windows: Quick Guide

Please note:

aiSee offers a number of complex selection procedures (e.g. for selecting sets of subgraphs). The user is guided through these procedures by instructions in the message window. We also recommend running the aiSee demo which includes step-by-step introductions to many features.

  • Scroll through graphs using the cursor keys.
  • Move graphs:
    1. Press any mouse button and hold it down.
    2. Drag across the graph window.
    3. The graph is moved after the mouse button is released.
  • See submenu Position->Scroll for advanced navigation features.
  • Using the panner window:
    1. Select Panner in the Position->Scroll submenu to open the panner window.
    2. Move the dashed rectangle around in the panner window to browse through the graph.
  • Use picking position: Strike 'p'. The mouse pointer turns into a +. Now you can do either of the following:
    • Changing the focus: Click in the graph window using any mouse button to shift the focus to the upper right corner of the window (in normal view) or to set the focus (in fish eye-view).
    • Rubberbanding: Press the left mouse button and hold it down. Now drag the mouse pointer across a portion of the graph to zoom it to window size.
  • Strike 'n' to open the Center Node dialog box.
